ABOUT MARTIN SAMUEL EASON

Keeping your spirit alive forever...

Martin Samuel Eason was born in Texarkana, Texas. He and his family moved to Bettendorf Iowa in 2002 where he attended middle and high school. He graduated with the "class of 2006", and he was loved by all his peers. He continued to pursue his passion for art at Scott Community College.  Sadly, we tragically lost Martin in Sept. 2012 to vehicular homicide, he was 23 years old and left behind a 3 yr old son who is now 8 yrs old. Martin was an amazing young father who lived for and loved his son unconditionally. He was a handsome, intelligent, talented, humorous, energetic, caring and compassionate young man who was full of life. He had an infectious smile that lit up the room when he walked in, and we just knew he was going to say something funny to make us all laugh.
He had such a creative and vivid imagination, we brought him his first sketch pad and pencil set when he was in the first grade and he began sketching just about every day and by middle school he advanced to painting and scratchboard sketching. During the summers instead of being outside playing all he wanted to do is sketch, we were so amazed by his impeccable talent at such a young age. His vivid imagination of wildlife can be seen throughout some of his best work. He especially loved lions and tigers, and was very passionate about capturing those images within his work. Once Martin began a project, he was dedicated to finishing it, sometimes staying late after school. He was very proud of his work, which is currently on display at Bettendorf High School for viewing.
